TRETORN YOUNG RIDERS 1-2 IN WIERDEN GRAND PRIX

The Young Rider Grand Prix in Wierden, The Netherlands yesterday, saw Tretorn Young Rider International Squad members, Matthew Sampson and Joe Clayton take first and second places respectively.
Matthew, 18, from Sheffield, South Yorkshire riding the eleven year-old bay gelding Chianti Classico jumped the fastest of five double clears to take victory from fellow squad member Joe Clayton. Joe, 19, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire rode the ten year-old bay gelding Saveur, producing a double clear but crossing the finishing line a little over half a second slower than his team mate Matthew.

Earlier in the day Tretorn Junior International Squad member George Whitaker, 16, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire finished in fourth place in the Junior Grand Prix aboard the eleven year-old chestnut gelding Carnaval Path.
