TRETORN JUNIORS TAKE SECOND SPOT IN REIMS

Today the Juniors showed the way. The Tretorn Junior Team took second spot in Reims today, with Switzerland finishing in top spot with a total of 8 faults, Great Britain on a total of 12 faults and Germany third with 16 faults.
The team consisting of Henry Lacey riding Mr Laceys 12 year old bay stallion Cardoso 12 with three fences down and1 time fault in the first round, in the second round Henry pulled out all the stops finishing with a clear. Next to go was Alison Barton on Mrs Bartons bay gelding Kinder du Marais with only one fence down in the first round and clear in the second. Third to go Georgina Hilton riding Ms Hiltons eight year old bay mare Clover Magic also had a fence in the first round and clear in the second. Anchor woman Abbie Squires riding Mrs Squires 12 year old bay gelding Enrique had 4 faults in the first round, but didn't need to start in the second round.
A delighted Chef d'Equipe Corinne Bracken said 'We were lying fourth after the first round and one by one the riders went clear in the second round climbing up the leader board. An outstanding achievement to jump three clears in the second round especially pleasing with a young inexperienced team.'

Tretorn was founded in 1891 by Johan Dunkar in Helsingborg, Sweden. In 1904 Tretorn was manufacturing around one million rubber boots a year. The manufacturing of rubber boots and tennis balls continued until 1991 in Helsingborg, when they moved the production overseas to Poland and other countries. Tretorn is today one of the leading manufacturers of rubber boots in Scandinavia as well the third biggest producer in Europe of tennis balls. The Tretorn riding boot was launched during 2007. Tretorn is today owned by PUMA AG.
The Squads are further supported by John Whitaker International with British Team branded riding hats, the British Show Jumping Association and the World Class Development programme which is Lottery funded through UK Sport.
