Thomas Whitaker wins the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifier at Hertfordshire County Show
Wednesday 30 May 2018
Hertfordshire County Show played host to a British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifier on Saturday and it was Thomas Whitaker who gave the winning performance.
With three qualification places available for the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show, the class proved to be a great competition for competitors and spectators alike.
From an initial starting field of fifty-two, just twenty produced a clear round to take their place in the jump off.
Thomas made the journey from Barnsley, South Yorkshire worthwhile as he rode Ebelina W, a 9 year-old iron grey mare owned by Laura Ritchie Bland straight in to first place. With a close eye on the clock and the competition, this combination delivered a fast and accurate round in 37.45 seconds.
