Team Champion is selected for the CSIO3* in Drammen

In a couple of weeks time Simon Crippen, Joe Clayton, Daniel Neilson and David McPherson all travel out to Norway to compete in the Drammen 3* Nations Cup (16th – 19th June)

Buckinghamshire’s Simon Crippen with Alo & Andrew Brake’s nine year old chestnut stallion Voss will be making their second appearance at this level. This combination recently took first place in the PCA class at the Welsh Masters.

Twenty one year old Joe Clayton is originally from Humberside, West Yorkshire but is currently based at Michael Whitakers yard in Nottingham. Joe will ride his own twelve year old bay gelding Saveur who also partnered him in the Copenhagen Nations Cup. Joe and Saveur were members of the Tretorn Young Rider European Championship Team last year that went out to Jardy, France.

British Showjumping’s number one Young Rider Daniel Neilson will ride Celia Mason’s nine year old liver chestnut gelding, Varo M. Varo M will be making his debut at this level. Dan is currently based in Essex at Katrina and Jason Moore’s Yard.

Kent based David McPherson and his own ten year old grey stallion Leonitas will also be joining the above riders. David has a wealth of experience under his belt and has competed at both European Championship and World Equestrian Games level, securing a Bronze medal for the team in 2007. As a combination they recently won the British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway competition which was held at Devon County Show. This eye-catching and impressive horse will be making his debut on a British Team.

The Nations Cup will take place on Saturday 18th June with the Grand Prix commencing on Sunday 19th June.
