School Champions Shine at Stoneleigh in the Just for Schools Championship

Stoneleigh Park provided the perfect setting on Monday as young riders from schools across the country came together for the Just for Schools Championship, with team and individual titles up for grabs across a range of heights. 

The day showcased some fantastic school-based talent, with riders and teams producing competitive rounds and battling it out for championship honours. 

Summer Team Schools Finals 

The Summer Team Schools 60cm Final saw the Millfield team take the championship title, overcoming three other teams to secure the top spot. Burton On The Wolds finished as runners-up. 

In the 70cm Final, the Dixie Grammar team claimed the championship against five other teams, with the Backwell School team taking the runner-up position. 

The Robert Burns Academy team continued the school's successful day by taking victory in the 80cm Final, finishing ahead of five other teams. Greenhill School were the runners-up. 

The 90cm Final once again saw Robert Burns take the top spot, securing the championship against three other teams. Greenhill High Flyer finished as runners-up. 

Rounding off the team finals, the Guildford School team claimed the 1m championship, taking the top honours against two other teams. Robert Burns Academy finished in second place. 

Individual Schools Finals 

The individual championships provided plenty more exciting competition, with riders battling it out for their own championship titles. 

In the Schools 60cm Final, Oliver Reynolds riding Jacks Shadow took the championship title against 16 other competitors. 

The Schools 70cm Final saw Charlotte Noys and Beautiful Mystery claim the top spot from a competitive field of 21 riders. Pippa-Jo Jackson Houston riding Bournesh Bridesmaid finished as runner-up. 

At 80cm, Phoebe Lodge and Lisnavaragh Lou Lou secured the championship title against 23 other riders, with Harriet Lister and Cashmir Jumper taking the runner-up position. 

In the 90cm it was Scarlett Walsh riding Ozzy Lifestyle who took home the title against 39 other riders. Amaya Cairns riding Llanidan Sea Biscuit who finished as runner-up. 

In the Schools 1.00m Final, Amelie Bigmore and Derryinver Rocky took the championship title, finishing ahead of 20 other competitors. Sophie Baines and CBS Blustar claimed the runner-up spot. 

The final individual championship of the day, the Schools 1.10m Final, saw Olivia Banwell and Fairfield Gort take the title against 10 other riders. Lilymay Dawe and Marino III finished as runners-up. 

Congratulations to all of the riders, teams, horses, schools and supporters who competed at Stoneleigh. The Just for Schools Championship once again highlighted the fantastic talent developing through school-based showjumping, with plenty of exciting performances across the classes.
