Ryan Rawlings wins the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Beacons Equestrian Centre

At Beacons Equestrian Centre in Carmarthanshire, Ryan Rawlings proved to be on winning form when he secured the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round.
Each combination started out over Saturday’s course hoping to claim a treble clear as this would see them take a place in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held during the British Showjumping National Championships in August.
After two exciting rounds of showjumping, the initial starting field was reduced down as just twelve competitors produced a double clear for a place in the final jump off. Eight were able to secure a treble clear and so it was left up to the all-important clock to decide the winner.
Ryan Rawlings from The Vale of Glamorgan gave three consistent performances on board his own 7 year-old bay gelding, Gentleman Always. After keeping a steady pace in the first two rounds, Ryan picked up the speed for the final jump-off and left all the fences standing in 39.21 seconds for the win.
With another seven combinations also achieving a treble clear, a total of eight combinations now go forward to the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final.
