Rolex Grand Slam from Geneva being broadcast on Sky and Horse & Country
Tuesday 10 December 2019
Both Sky Sport Mix (184) and Horse & Country TV are set to live stream the best riders in the world as they head to the banks of Lake Geneva for the last Rolex Grand Slam Major of the year.
Riders face the ultimate challenge in one of the highlights of the showjumping calendar at this prestigious venue. This world class competition at CHI Geneva starts broadcasting at 1pm with Sky also giving a half hour build up including interviews with Ben Maher and Scott Brash.
Not to be missed, with several of the very best horse and rider combinations set to compete in the world’s largest indoor jumping arena as they fight it out for a share of the total prize fund of 2.4 million Swiss francs.
CHI Geneva is one of the four Majors in the Rolex Grand Slam of Showjumping. This series is one of the toughest in equestrian sport, offering the biggest prize money.
Any rider that can consecutively win three Majors at Geneva, `s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, Aachen in Germany, or Spruce Meadows in Canada receives a €1m bonus.
Scott Brash is the only rider in history to have achieved such a feat in 2015, riding Hello Sanctos. All eyes will be on Scott to see if his winning streak at CHI Geneva continues. The show will also see tribute paid to Hello Sanctos who will fittingly retire on Saturday evening in the arena which saw the start of his Grand Slam trophy.
CHI Geneva has been one of the world’s premier showjumping events since 1926, and is known as the indoor show with the longest tradition. It has hosted two World Cup Finals plus the Rolex IJRC Top Ten Finals, and has also been awarded the “Best Show Award” title for the 9th time by L´Année Hippique.
Watch live on Sky 184 and Horse & Country’s web and mobile apps and streaming service, as well as on Virgin Media channel 298, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Prime, Amazon Fire, Roku.
