Reallocation of the Pony Qualifier Show at Wales & West

The Pony Qualifier Show that was due to take place at the Wales & West Showground between the 18 – 20 September has been reallocated and will now take place at Chard Equestrian between the 26 – 27 September.

Back on the 21 August, the First Minister for Wales announced that the Welsh Government would not be lifting their COVID-19 lockdown measures for at least three weeks in respect of outdoor events. With this in mind and due to no further information being made available at this time in respect of outdoor events in Wales, the decision has been taken to reallocate the Pony Qualifier Show as above.

The team at Chard Equestrian are in the process of updating their schedule to reflect this reallocation and this will be added to the British Showjumping website shortly.

It is anticipated that a further announcement from the Welsh Government will be made at the end of this week, at which point a decision will be made about the Senior Qualifier Show that is also due to be held at Wales & West Showground.

British Showjumping will continue to work closely with all Welsh Show Organisers, the Welsh Sport Association and the Welsh Assembly with an objective of being in a position to introduce equestrian sport back into Wales at the earliest opportunity. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
