Sunday 16 January 2011

Scott is well known for his great partnership with the stallion Cabri d’Elle. Together they formed part of the team at the 2001 European Championships and competed at the 2002 World Equestrian Games. As well as competing on 35 Nations Cup Teams between 1998 and 2005 they also won some of the biggest Grand Prix competitions throughout Europe.
Campella has joined the team thanks to Scott’s sponsors MPS Tower Cranes, global providers and distributors of tower cranes and leading players in the tower crane market.
The 17.1hh, Swedish Warmblood grey mare by Cardento, has already made a name for herself in the States, winning some of the highest profile Grand Prix’ around the world. Said Scott: “Campella is the best horse that anyone has ever bought for me. She is a real star and hopefully exactly what British Showjumping needs to strengthen our international campaign.
“Once she has settled in at our yard in Yorkshire, I hope to start my campaign with her as my top horse and catch the selectors eye.
“The purchase of Campella is a massive boost for everyone concerned. We are all extremely driven and focused to get back into competing at the leading shows around the world and without doubt Campella has the ability to compete with the best.
“I now have wonderful support from Mike and Judy Studd, and their US-based son Paul, as well as the sponsorship from MPS Tower Cranes and Churchill Cranes,” said Scott.
Campella joins Scott’s growing team with the highly rated eight-year-old Holstein, Quintus providing great back-up for Champions Tour shows.
Maria Clayton, Head of Communications for British Showjumping commented “To have new owners coming into Showjumping with a view to supporting the performance delivery plan for Great Britain is not only great news for Scott but also superb news for our sport as a whole”.
