Members Council

Nominations were recently invited for ‘Official’ and ‘Rider’ categories to stand for election on the Members Council commencing from 1st January 2016 to take office for three years.
Previously elected members were eligible to reapply of which Jane Noton, Steve Williams, Paul Urch, Steve Lynch Andrew James and Nicola Roe were re-appointed.
Elections took place in three Regions: Wales (Rider), North (Official) and Scotland (Official) where the successful candidates were Matthew Broome, Anne Fearnall and Karen McCoy respectively. They are joined by newly appointed member John Jacks who has replaced Rosemary Ockendon-Day.
Nicola McArthur has taken a vacant ‘Rider’ seat for Scotland and Richard Seals has also filled a vacant position in the ‘Other Member’ category for the East Midlands. Nicola and Richard will be appointed for the two remaining years of the ‘Rider and ‘Other’ term.
British Showjumping would like to thank the following members who now stand down from the Council but have given their time and expertise for the past three years: Rosemary Ockendon-Day, Jane Twemlow, Nadine Warwick, Heather Stennett, Emma Slater and Kathy Willard.
The Members Council utilises the expertise of its members to develop and provide ideas for the development of British Showjumping and ordinarily meets three times a year.
