Wednesday 13 April 2011

Bruce Menzies from Horsham, West Sussex and Sultan V’s second place in the 100,000€ Invitational Grand Prix at the Spanish Sunshine Tour has been voted ‘Performance of the Month’ for March.
Bruce riding Old Lodge’s nine year-old grey gelding Sultan V, were one of only three combinations to jump two foot perfect clear rounds from a world class starting field of fourty-five.
The Performance of the Month Award is an amalgamation of the former Showjumper and Owner of the Month Awards, and recognises the achievements of not just our riders, but our horses and owners too. Chairman of British Showjumping’s International Committee Clare Whitaker commented:
“It gives me great pleasure to award the March Performance of the Month to Sultan V, Old Lodge, and Bruce Menzies, for their fantastic performance in the Sunshine Tour Invitational Grand Prix. My congratulations go to them and their hard working Team”.
Patrick Riley of Zamar TTT, sponsors of the Performance Award said:
“Congratulations to Old Lodge, Bruce and Sultan V for winning the Performance Award for the second time. Very well done to them and their Team!”.
