‘JOHN WHITAKER INTERNATIONAL’ PONY TEAM TAKE TOP HONOURS IN WIERDEN

The ‘John Whitaker International’ Pony Team has taken victory in the Wierden Nations Cup this afternoon, beating Ireland into the runner-up spot.
Fifteen year-old Chad Fellows riding Amanda Hilliard’s twelve year old brown gelding Snatch, proved a worthy Pathfinder, producing two foot perfect clear rounds.
Next to go, fifteen year-old Lara Whiteway with Sharon Whiteway’s sixteen year-old bay gelding ABC Juri, jumped a super clear in the first round and then lowered three fences to finish the second with twelve penalties.
Fourteen year-old Timothy Wilks partnered Caroline Wilks’ eleven year-old coloured gelding The Colour Of Money to a superb double clear round, whilst last to go fifteen year-old Pippa Allen and Bilton Ward Devepments’ eleven year-old bay mare Caprice III, lowered a single pole in the first round and then jumped clear in the second.
A delighted Clare Whitaker, Chairman of Performance Development speaking from Wierden said:
“Everyone rode really well this afternoon; the team consisted of three new faces each making their Nations Cup debuts. I am delighted with everyone’s performance, its always great come away with a win!”.
