BBC West Young Sports Personality of the Year
Thirteen year old Jessica Mendoza has been nominated for the BBC West Young Sports Personality of the year.
Jessica has had a fantastic year both Nationally and Internationally. She has dominated the National pony circuit winning many of the top classes within the country and has been selected to compete at the prestigious London International Horse Show at Olympia. Jessica has also been a strong competitor on the International circuit, she has won a number of International Pony Grand Prix’s, jumped on pony Nations Cup teams, and was a member of the John Whitaker International Pony European Championship Team.
The BBC West Young Sports Personality of the Year award is presented to a team/individual who has achieved a high standard of performance at local, national or international level; they may also have used their personality to have contributed to the community. The award ceremony will take place at the University of Bath on 6th December 2009
