It’s a win for Danielle from Manchester

Last weekend saw riders flock from across the country to The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe in Bedfordshire for the EquestrianClearance.com Senior Newcomers Second Round.With first and second place picking up qualification for the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) and the top five picking up qualification tickets for the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festivalit was going to be a tough competition.
 
It was twenty four year old Danielle Jolliffe from Manchester that took the top spot. Danielle rode her own seven year old bay stallion Explosief VD Heffinck who jumped three clear rounds in a jump off time of 34.50 seconds qualifying for the final at HOYS and also taking the first qualifying ticket to the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival.
 
Second place and the second qualifying ticket for both HOYS and the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival went to Crawley based Nicole Pavitt. Nicole partnered Festiena Van Texelhof a horse which is jointly owned by Nicole’s mother (Sandra) and Lisa Tudor’s. The pair jumped with ease producing three clear rounds in a time of 34.94 seconds, just fractions slower than Danielle.
 
The final three Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival qualifying tickets went to Sophie Holliday riding Westerhofs Limit, Timothy Davies riding Alure III and Tom Hearne riding Atessa B L H.

Horse of the Year Show 2011 is the 4th – 9th October at Birmingham’s NEC.
The Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival 2011 will take place from Sunday 28th August to Saturday 3rd September at Stafford County Showground.
