It’s a 1 and 2 for Amy Inglis
Tuesday 25 January 2011

Last weekend saw pony riders from across the country descend upon the Hand Equestrian Centre for two of the John Whitaker International Winter JA Classic qualifiers.
The first of the qualifiers was won by thirteen year old Amy Inglis from Haywoods Heath, West Sussex. Amy rode Mandy Hall’s eleven year old grey gelding Crossword who jumped with ease round the 1.30m course, jumping clear in a jump off time of 37.15 seconds. Amy also went on the take a second and fourth place in the second John Whitaker International Winter JA Classic qualifier the following day.
With the second John Whitaker International Winter JA Classic qualifier taking place the following day it was Chippenham, Wiltshire based Jessica Mendoza that took the first place prize fund. Jessica showed her class while riding her mothers (Sarah) ten year old grey mare Razorlite II, who knocking nearly a whole 3 seconds off second placed Amy’s jump off time.
