Emmie Horner & Treflan Nero win the Just for Schools 80cm Individual

Emmie Horner aged 10 years old from Weston-super-Mare and Treflan Nero, a black 14 year-old gelding, took pole position in the presentation line up from a field of nearly fifty starters this afternoon in the Just for Schools Individual 80cm Final at the NAF Five Star British Showjumping Championships.

Their double clear in a time of 29.83 seconds saw them cross the finish line just a fraction of a second faster than 15 year-old Tilly Marcantonio from Caister, Norfolk with her bay mare Kullusty Boolagh Betty.  3rd place went to Bethany Barrett on her grey gelding Irish Smurf who crossed the finish line also within that one second barrier making it an extremely close call across the top three riders.

The Just For Schools competitions which attract riders of all age groups representing their schools in the Team Competitions as well as competing individually are always hotly contested and this competition was no exception with everyone wanting to claim the Final as their own.  It was elated Emmie that took the lap of honour though with her very well-deserved win.

The NAF Five Star British Showjumping Championships run between 3 – 11 August at Bolesworth and further information on the show can and full results can be found by visiting https://bit.ly/33o7Uvj
