ELLEN’S SHOCK WIN

Ellen Whitaker from Barnsley, South Yorkshire is celebrating after receiving an award at a ceremony in London.
She was awarded the Sir Michael Parkinson Award at the annual Sports Journalists’ Association Awards lunch in London on Wednesday 9th December.
Ellen commented: “I can’t believe it. I had no idea when I was invited to the lunch that I was actually going to win an award. I am over the moon!”
Sir Michael Parkinson is the President of the Sports Journalists’ Association (SJA). The awards are made on behalf of the SJA’s 700 members, sports writers, broadcasters, photographers and editors.
Ellen received a trophy which she has taken back to her South Yorkshire home.
British Showjumping would like to congratulate Ellen on this elite award.
