Claire Shepherd claims top spot in the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Second Round at the British Showjumping Clwyd Area Show

The British Showjumping Clwyd Area Show played host to a KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Second Round on Sunday and it was Claire Shepherd who claimed top spot with a foot perfect treble clear.
With the aim of securing a place in the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship Final which is to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August, the stakes were high for each competitor as they looked to achieve a sought after treble clear for a qualification place.
Claire Shepherd from Middleton, Manchester delivered the winning performance on board Priestown Rocco, a 6 year-old bay gelding owned by Kelly Roberts. This partnership held their nerve as they went in to the head to head jump off and crossed the finish line with yet another clear round in 35.50 seconds.
With another combination also achieving a treble clear, a total of two combinations now go forward to the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Second Rounds Final.

The British Showjumping National Championships 2018 will be hosted at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire during the 7th - 12th August.
