Charlotte Pudge Cleans Up in the Dodson & Horrell 0.85m National Amateur Second Round at Glebe Farm Equestrian Centre

Charlotte Pudge from Ledbury, Herefordshire got her Championship campaign off to a flying start on Sunday when she picked up two qualification spots from the Dodson & Horrell 0.85m National Amateur Second Round at Glebe Farm Equestrian Centre in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

Twenty-five combinations started out on Sunday and with all eyes focused on the twelve qualifying places on offer for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, competition proved fierce when a thirteen horse jump off got underway. The Championships will be held at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool between the 16th – 20th November.

Charlotte took victory on board her own 12 year-old bay gelding Call Me Tufty after they produced a blistering jump off round which saw them finish with a double clear in 30.45 seconds. The pair jumped from around the halfway mark in the jump off and their display was such that they could not be beaten.

Second place went to Frankie Jervis from Rugeley, Staffordshire and she took her place inside the top two with her own 15 year-old bay mare Belladonna. The combination produced their double clear in 31.70 seconds.

Charlotte rounded off the podium with Dizzie Rascal IV, an 11 year-old palomino gelding owned by Georgina Pudge and they secured their double clear in 31.90 seconds.
