CHANGE OF RULE REGARDING PONIES BEING REGISTERED AS HORSES

The National Sport Committee have implemented the following rule changes regarding the registrations of Ponies as Horses

As of the 1st January 2016, the following rules will apply to ponies of 142cm (14hh) and under:

1. Ponies below 142cm will NOT be permitted to compete in Senior Competitions.  The only exception to this will be Club Competitions.

2.Ponies of 142cm and above will only be permitted to compete in Senior Competitions if ridden by an Associate or Senior member.

3.Junior Members will not be permitted to jump ponies in Senior Classes.

Ponies of under 142cm which are already registered as horses will be able to continue competing until their registrations lapse.  However, from the 1st January 2016 they will not be eligible to qualify for any Second Rounds or Championship Finals.
