BRITS ENJOY A WEEKEND OF SUCCESS IN EUROPE

British riders have enjoyed tremendous success in European competitions over the weekend with top three places in no less than five International Grand Prix’s.
 
Ben Maher from Bishops Stortford, Herts riding his own and Quainton Stud’s Robin Hood W took third place in the Cannes Global Champions Tour Grand Prix, netting a prize of 38,000€. Frenchman Roger Yves-Bost jumped the only clear of the competition, with eventual Leading Rider of the Show Daniel Deusser and Ben jumping two clears but each clocking up a single time penalty.

Jane Davies from High Wycombe, Bucks riding her own Patrick VII went on to win the Cannes Invitational Grand Prix, jumping the fastest double clear of the competition.

Graham Lovegrove from Halstead, Essex rode to victory in the 25,000€ Ponte de Lima Grand Prix in Portugal, aboard Connectix Ltd’s Pandur. Graham jumped a double clear round over a second faster than runner-up, Ireland’s Dermott Lennon.

Guy Goosen based in Aschen-Diepholz, Germany took runner-up spot in the 25,000€ Roeser Grand Prix aboard Tina Goosen’s Tinka’s Son. Jumping one of only two double clears of the competition Guy took second place behind the Ukraine’s Cassio Rivetti riding the British bred Billy Birr.
