Benjamin Bick Lands Victory in the Redpost Equestrian Foxhunter Second Round at Vale View Equestrian

As we reach the halfway point in the Redpost Equestrian Foxhunter Second Rounds, riders flocked to Vale View Equestrian Centre to contend for a golden ticket to the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS).

A total of 44 horse and rider combinations took to the arena in round one, with 15 delivering the two clear rounds needed to advance to the final jump-off. In a hotly contest competition, it was Ben Bick, winner of the first British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C qualifier two days prior at Herts County Show, who took the victory.

Piloting Abbie Summers' If Evers Girl M.S., Ben expertly steered the eight-year-old mare around with the tightest lines, crossing the finish in a time of 38.80 seconds, 1.02 seconds ahead of second placed Holly Smith and Shane Sutton’s Une Copine Van Overis Z. Hadley Clarke slotted into third with Miranda Clarke’s Lucky Luke IV, a further 0.3 seconds in arrears.
