BEN MAHER AWARDED SILVER FEI BADGE OF HONOUR AT OLYMPIA
Friday 18 December 2009

Twenty-six year old Ben Maher from Bishops Stortford in Hertfordshire was last night awarded a Silver FEI Badge of Honour by The Duchess of Cornwall at Olympia, The London International Horse Show.
The Badge, awarded to competitors who have made in excess of twenty Nations Cup appearances, was presented to Ben at the conclusion of The Waverley TBS Christmas Speed Stakes in London's historic Grand Hall.
Currently ranked the UK’s number 1, Ben shot to stardom when he was selected to represent Great Britain at the 2008 Olympic Games. Since then he has climbed to the top of British Showjumping’s Rider Rankings and become a linchpin of the British Team, appearing on six British Nations Cup Teams during 2009 alone, as well as representing his country at the Altech FEI European Showjumping Championships at Windsor Castle back in the Summer.
