The Dodson & Horrell 1.05m National Amateur Second Round at Muirmill Equestrian Centre in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire was won by Ailsa Noble from Midlothian on Saturday after she delivered a convincing performance on her own 13 year-old bay gelding Harvey IX.
Following a competitive first round of the class, Ailsa was one of just five riders who made it through to the jump off and she secured the win after producing the only double clear of the class in a time of 49.10 seconds.
The fastest four fault round came from Jane Ault with Triomf L, a 15 year-old bay mare owned by Joanne Fairbrother and their result saw them take second place. Jane and Triomf L picked up 4 faults midway through the jump off, but their quick time of 39.13 seconds ensured them of their top two placing.
Leona Urquhart from Glasgow, Lanarkshire picked up third place with her own 11 year-old bay mare Extreem Van De Neerheide after they finished on a total of 4 faults in 41.23 seconds.
Five combinations in total took home their place in the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, which will place at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool during the 18th – 22nd November 2015.
