New Border Rules Survey from the British Horse Council (BHC)
Tuesday 20 June 2023

New rules around the importation of horses from the EU are due to come into force in October 2024. The British Horse Council (BHC) would like to hear your views to make sure that they balance biosecurity, welfare, trade, and practicalities. The new rules will mean changes in the procedures for crossing borders with live animals, including horses, from the EU to GB. For many consignments, this will mean stops and checks at Border Control Posts, as well as fees. The survey will take around 10 mins to complete, with the results being used to help Government develop suitable processes for the implementation of borders processes.
The survey is now live and open until 30 June: https://uk01.z.antigena.com/l/dqe68cOmulM4Cke-IRdt~Sg9w9ZWHtjMKHGiC_P_m04Dq-8qpLnWph0N4HL9M0vvSgCiT4WP3De1d99zvCz0MaSL0IC~2tZOgAjj7d7MsQIipJ3so6e7XiOQ_3CvelrY3ruwdmJIiJ_ocIcZQTEWhM8OsmJXolW1PlEds95GuEvj3fqB5m
