Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre to launch two major inaugural events in January

Preparations are well underway at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre as they launch two exciting major firsts in their 2024 calendar to welcome you the Kelsall Hill Winter Festival.

The event starts with their inaugural British Showjumping Winter Classic.  This is immediately followed by the beautifully-presented Cheshire venue hosting their first international meeting, and a new big screen in the Grandstand Arena will display live scores and times throughout the week.

Both events run in January, with the premier Winter Classic running over three days from Monday, 15 January to Wednesday, 17 January, encompassing a full schedule from newcomers/1.10m to the 1.40m Winter Grand Prix.  Opportunities to qualify for the prestigious Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead in the UNIBED – High Performance Equine Bedding Winter Grades B and C qualifier and the SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier also feature alongside qualifiers for the British Showjumping Spring Championships.

The international competitions start on Friday, 19 January and run through to Monday, 22 January, culminating in a world ranking 2* Grand Prix, complemented by 2* classes from 1.25m to 1.40m.  The 1* schedule has silver and bronze sections from 1.15m up to 1.30m and the Amateur section will jump in 1.10m and 1.20m competitions.

Party nights are planned for the Winter Classic and Kelsall Hill International, Urchins Café, which offers a full view of the Grandstand arena, will open at 7am daily until late with a new menu full of delicious food, catering for sit-down meals along with all-time grab-and-go favourites while the on-site Tanners Bar is open from midday to late every day throughout the show for celebrations and camaraderie.

Gallery seating is also available in the Grandstand Arena with admission free to all spectators and the Trade Stand Village will be open every day to cater for shopaholics.
