West Midlands Riders Top Leaderboards at the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships
Sue Pountain and Nina Emery, both from Cannock, Staffordshire, were recently crowned National Champions after each winning a Dodson & Horrell Championship title at the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships.
Sue won the Dodson & Horrell Minor Veteran Riders Championship on board her own 10 year-old chestnut gelding, Sat On A Star, whilst 45 year-old Nina was victorious in the Dodson & Horrell Major Veteran Riders Championship on her own 7 year-old bay mare, Galaxy III.
Sue and Sat On A Star beat off the challenge from twenty-seven other competitors. Nina and Galaxy III outpaced fourteen other competitors. The Minor Veteran Riders Championship was held on Saturday 16th November 2013 and the Major Veteran Riders Championship was held on Sunday 17th November 2013. Both Championships classes were held at Aintree Equestrian Centre.
Each combination was presented with a Championship Rug and Trophy.
