Congratulations to Zoe Adams, Alice Basey-Fisher, Chloe Winchester- Selected for BEF Excel Talent

Friday 29 November 2013

Now in its third year, the Sport England Excel Talent Programme has been developed to extend the rider talent pathway below the UK Sport funded World Class Programme, and to help riders develop to be the best they can be in their chosen discipline.

The Programme provides support to selected riders from the three Olympic (dressage, eventing and showjumping) and one Paralympic (para-equestrian dressage) disciplines.

This year sees the second intake of the Programme, with 54 riders selected - 11 of these re-selected from last year's squad.

The Programme provides selected riders with the opportunity to have access to top equestrian specialists including: coaches, physiotherapists, psychologists, vets and nutritionists via a series of rider performance camps. Riders are expected to attend up to three 2 day training camps each year plus other one day events. Riders remain on the programme for two years providing they achieve goals and targets set as part of the programme performance review process.

Congratulations to riders from the East region: Zoe Adams, Alice Basey-Fisher and Chloe Winchester, who have been selected on the 2013/2015 Showjumping squads:
