Great Britian’s Children on Horses team were victorious in a three-way jump-off at the Future Champions Nations Cup at Hagen TW in Germany.
Round one saw Great Britain leading at the halfway stage on a zero score as Charlie Barker, riding Kathleen Fellows’ Strides Maureen, Christina Cotton, riding Monica Cotton’s Chique RV Z, and Eleonora Ljungman, riding Charlotte Ljungman’s Jamaica EBH, all jumped foot-perfect clears. As a result, the anchor pairing of Tabby Morgan-Evans and Tiffany Morgan-Evans’ Bermudez BDA didn’t need to jump.
Round two saw Christina once again ride a well-executed clear, whilst Charlie tapped out two poles to come home with a discard score of eight and Eleonora picked up four faults. Despite not jumping round one, Tabby held her nerve and a super clear as the final rider to put Britain on four faults, equal with The Netherlands and Ireland, and a jump-off ensued.
First to go in the jump-off, Charlie and Strides Maureen made just one mistake for four faults. However, all was not lost as Christina, on Chique RV Z, and Eleonora, on Jamaica EBH, kept their cool to provide the team with to more clear rounds. After three riders had jumped, Great Britain were sitting on a team total of four faults, which meant that once again Tabby need to jump as both The Netherlands and Ireland finished on eight faults, leaving Britain victorious.

Great Britain’s Pony team brought home another second place finish in the Future Champions Nations Cup at Hagen TW in Germany.
Six teams came forward for this competitive class, with Great Britain, Germany and Ireland all taking an early lead at the halfway point on a zero score.
Once again, Sophia Rogers and Nicola Rogers’ Neil 55 showed why they held the pathfinder role, getting the team off to a great start with a superb double clear. This was quickly followed by Lucy Capper, riding Nicola and Robert Capper’s Oscar Van De Beekerheide, who supplied another excellent double clear to keep the team in the hunt for a podium place.
Darcy Breen returned with an unusual four faults in each round on The Breen Equestrian’s One Saharah before anchor rider Hollie Gerken jumped clear in round one with Jade Gerken’s Galaxy V. It would be down to Hollie to repeat this clear in round two to force Ireland into a jump-off to determine which step of the podium they would take. However, it wasn’t to be as the pair saw the vertical after the water hit the ground in an otherwise perfect round.
Ireland proved once against to be unbeatable on the day as the only team to return on zero securing first place with Germany also finishing on a score of four faults and taking home equal second place with Great Britain.

Maisy Williams and The Blossom Stud’s Blossoms Billy Heinz came home with four and eight faults and uncharacteristically, Jennifer Billington’s day didn’t go to plan with Linda Billington’s Flipper Darco UK Z, returning as the discard score in both rounds. The team finished after two rounds on a total of 12 faults, sitting equal at the top with Belgium, resulting in another jump-off.
As the jump-off got underway, the first Belgium rider was quick and clear and, although she jumped her third clear of the day, Olivia on crossed the finish five seconds slower. The second Belgium rider came home on eight whilst Maisy finished on four faults to put Britain ahead. Belgium’s final two riders then jumped clear and, as Jennifer withdrew Flipper Darco, Britain could no longer catch their rivals and settled for second place.
