Alfie Miles takes the National 1.15m Pony Members Cup Championship

A seven-horse jump off played out in the National 1.15m Pony Members Cup Championship this afternoon at the NAF Five Star British Showjumping National Championships at Bolesworth and it was 14 year-old Alfie Miles from Maidstone, Kent who finished at the top of the table.

Alfie produced the quickest double clear of the class with Quantum Light, a 21 year-old bay gelding owned by Shelley Anthony. Riding with accuracy and pace, Alfie negotiated the jump off course cleanly in a time of 35.22 seconds which was to be enough to give him 1.09 seconds in hand over his nearest rival.

Grace Sinclair took second place on Crème de la Crème after securing her double clear in 36.31 seconds. Sophie Wicks then went on to fill both third and fourth place on Zodianne van de Doevenbree and King Mac respectively after achieving double clears on both rides.

The NAF Five Star British Showjumping Championships run between 3 – 11 August at Bolesworth and further information on the show and full results can be found by visiting https://bit.ly/3kkm2fp.
