Six 6-year-olds Shine in the penultimate Prestige Italia Six-year-old Big Star Championship Qualifier at Northcote Stud

Northcote Stud hosted the penultimate Prestige Italia Six-year-old Big Star Championship Qualifier this weekend. Fourteen combinations came forward to try and jump their way to the final, aiming to ride three clear rounds to qualify for the Prestige Italia Six-Year-Old Championship Final at the Young Horse Show, taking place at Hickstead in August.
The six combinations to achieve triple clears were:

Declan Irvine & Opportunity Bella MFS
Douglas Duffin & Omex Star HBF
Madison Heath & Dakota I
Riders in the Prestige Italia Six-Year-Old Championship will compete for the Big Star Trophy, awarded in honour of Nick Skelton’s 2016 Olympic gold medal winner. Any horse jumping a treble clear in one of the four Big Star qualifiers held between May and July will automatically be eligible for the £1,000 Big Star Bonus, which will be awarded in the Final.
