Seamus Taylor and Billy Wolsey Triumph in Competitive Redpost Foxhunter Second Round at Vale View

The Redpost Equestrian Senior Foxhunter Second Round at Vale View Equestrian attracted a competitive field of 39 rider and horse combinations, all aiming to secure their place on the road to the Horse of the Year Show Final.

Course designer Susan Barratt set a challenging track that tested both scope and accuracy, with riders needing to produce two flawless rounds to progress to the decisive jump-off. After the opening rounds, just 12 combinations had successfully negotiated the course without fault to earn their place in the final showdown.

With qualification and top honours at stake, the jump-off provided plenty of excitement. It was Seamus Taylor who emerged victorious aboard Anita Duffy's Billy Wolsey, producing a superb clear round in a rapid time of 40.96 seconds to secure the win.

Danielle Farnsworth and Hazelberg's Mercury also delivered a faultless performance to claim second place, stopping the clock in 44.05 seconds, while Rebecca Marsh and N My Lady Ex were close behind in third place with another impressive clear round in 44.15 seconds.

The class showcased the quality and depth of talent within the Foxhunter ranks, with riders demonstrating both speed and precision under pressure. For those successful combinations, attention now turns to the Redpost Equestrian Senior Foxhunter Masters, which will take place at the British Showjumping National Championships before the prestigious final at Horse of the Year Show in October.

Congratulations to Seamus Taylor, Anita Duffy, and Billy Wolsey on their victory, and best of luck to all qualified combinations as they continue their journey towards Horse of the Year Show.
