12 Horses Gain Qualification to Contend for the Big Star Trophy in the Prestige Italia Big Star Championship Qualifier.

Over the weekend, Chard Equestrian was full of showjumping action, not least of all as the host of the Prestige Italia Big Star Championship Qualifier. Riders navigated their horses through three courses, aiming for a treble clear to qualify for contention of the Big Star Bonus at the Prestige Italia Six-Year-Old Championship Final at the Young Horse Show, taking place at Hickstead in August.
The 12 combinations to achieve triple clears were:

Riders in the Prestige Italia Six-Year-Old Championship will compete for the Big Star Trophy, awarded in honour of Nick Skelton’s 2016 Olympic gold medal winner. Any horse jumping a treble clear in one of the four Big Star qualifiers held between May and July will automatically be eligible for the £1,000 Big Star Bonus, which will be awarded in the Final.
