SCOTLAND'S GILLIAN ANDERSON AND CONGENIALITY B QUALIFY FOR THE NEW SILVER LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP AT HOYS 2014.

Congratulations to 22 year old Gillian Anderson and Congeniality B, owned by Linda Anderson, in qualifying for HOYS 2014 in the first year of the new Silver League which was launched in April 2014 with a qualification structure that will allow eligible horse and rider combinations to qualify for a Semi Final and the chance of a ticket for the Horse of the Year Show Final. 

Gillian is thrilled to qualify and tells us a little about how they came together and achieved this goal:

“2014 exceeded all my expectations. I was in my final year at Glasgow Caledonian University studying my nursing degree. Congeniality B came to me from James Smith 18 months ago because she was too small and too "girly". Bee and I have had an amazing year, gelled together so well and I understand all her quirky little needs. 

We competed in newcomers 2nd rounds being very unlucky, qualified to compete at Royal International at Hickstead in the Winter Novice final and topped the Silver League points for Scotland and then went on the qualify for hoys at Bishop Burton in the semi final.

I rode at hoys in 2008 in the pony foxhunter final and so looking forward to the experience again then bee can have a well deserved holiday at home.

Silver Regional League allows riders jumping1.10m - 1.30m the chance to qualify for HOYS.
The Silver League Championships will be run as a handicap competition at Horse of the Year Show. A total of fourteen horse/rider combinations will qualify for the Championships.
The Final will be run under Table A10 and the heights for the Championship Finals will be as follows: Silver League Final – 1.25m max in the first round
