CORINNE BRACKEN IS APPOINTED JUNIOR & YOUNG RIDER CHEF d’EQUIPE
Wednesday 21 January 2009
Following the resignation of Mike Florence as Junior & Young Rider Chef d’Equipe, and with a view to streamlining resource, costs and efficiency the positions of Chef d’Equipe and Team Coach to the Junior & Young Rider Teams will now be absorbed into one role.
We are therefore pleased to announce that Corinne Bracken, who has held the position of Team Coach to the British Junior & Young Rider Teams for the past three years, will be integrating both roles into one and accepting full responsibility for the teams under the direction of Performance Development Chairman, Clare Whitaker. As Chef d’Equipe, Corinne will continue to focus on the ongoing medal winning success at this level.
Clare Whitaker commented:
“Corinne’s dedication and enthusiasm is second to none and she has proven herself time and time again not only in terms of results but also the relationships and rapport she has built throughout both the sport and team members. This restructure can only bring benefit to the sport as a whole and I feel that Corinne is the perfect candidate for this role.”
Corinne Bracken said:
“I am delighted to accept the position of Junior and Young Rider Chef d’Equipe. This is a challenging role however I look forward to focusing on winning yet more medals for Great Britain at this level. I am passionate about the Youth side of our sport and am looking forward to working with the Teams in the forthcoming months. I hope that under my leadership we can continue to be one of the top European nations in this category.”
