KBIS British Equestrian Insurance announce sponsorship of British Showjumping’s National Club Championships

British Showjumping is pleased to announce that KBIS British Equestrian Insurance will be sponsoring the National Club Championships for 2023, which will take place this year on 7-9 August at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC) in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.

Long-term supporters, KBIS British Equestrian Insurance began their partnership with British Showjumping many years ago and have since sponsored a phenomenal number of classes providing invaluable support to the growth of our sport. Most recently a business partner of British Showjumping, this new sponsorship of the National Club Championships will bring another facet to their roster.

The National Club Championships at Stoneleigh NAEC is the pinnacle of the year for all British Showjumping Club Members. British Showjumping continuously strives to increase participation in the sport, and the introduction of Club Membership in 2011 was designed to do just this. Bridging the gap between non-affiliated and affiliated competitions, the National Club Championships provides riders with the chance to experience that big competition atmosphere and is vital for opening-up involvement in competitive showjumping.

Riders will compete regionally to accrue league points in local club competitions at heights ranging from 60cm to 1m, in order to gain their spot on the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance Regional Ranking List and qualify for the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance National Club Championships.

With horse/rider combinations being the key factor and no age limit on riders competing on ponies, Club membership isn’t only attractive to those making their step into affiliated competition but also to producers of young horses and those that compete in other disciplines such as eventing, pentathlon and working hunters.

British Showjumping’s Chief Executive, Iain Graham, said of the new partnership:

“Our Club Leagues are a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to compete in showjumping, but not quite ready to step into affiliated competition. Encouraging as many riders as possible to participate in showjumping is an important part of what we do, and we are delighted to have the support of KBIS British Equestrian Insurance as we continue to do just this.”

Emma Cover, Marketing Manager for KBIS said:

“We are excited to be taking on the sponsorship of National Club Championships, we think it offers a great opportunity for competitors to dip a toe in competing within British Showjumping or to get younger more inexperienced horses out and about. As a company we have always been passionate about sponsoring at the grass roots level and giving back to the sport that both we and our customers enjoy so much. We look forward to seeing all those competing in the classes at the National Club Championships”
