Equiyd National Amateur Second Rounds at Tillyoch Equestrian Centre
Wednesday 24 September 2025

Tillyoch Equestrian Centre played host to one of three Equiyd National Amateur Second Rounds taking place last weekend, where riders continued to compete for a place at the upcoming Equiyd National Amateur Championships.
The Championships will be staged at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool from 11–16 November, with the top eight horse-and-rider combinations in each class qualifying—provided they produced a clear round in the first stage of their qualifier.
The competition began with the 85cm qualifying class, where Ryan Leavey, riding Lynne Leavey’s 12-year-old mare, took top spot with the only clear in round one. Ryan, having only taken over the ride of this mare from Rachel Leavey last year, will be contending the Amateur finals for the first time.

This partnership has been together since the end of 2023 and they will also make their debut at the Amateur Championships show in November.
