British Showjumping’s Team NAF announced for CSIO3* EEF Nations Cup in Gorla Minore

Following an invitation to compete in the CSIO3* Nations Cup in Gorla Minore (ITA), the following squad have been selected to represent Great Britain under the title sponsor banner of Team NAF. 

The competition forms a part of the EEF Series but is not a counting leg for the British team who look to gain points from CSIO3* Lisbon and CSIO3* Madrid in the next two weeks. The competition at Gorla takes place between the 15th-19th June at Equieffe Equestrian Centre ASD.

 

Meet the Squad

Amy Inglis from West Sussex with the 14-year-old chestnut mare Wishes, owned by Claire Inglis.

Joseph Fernyhough  from Stonehouse in Gloucestershire with the chestnut gelding Calcourt Particle, owned by Rowland Fernyhough.

Joe Whitaker from Barnsley in South Yorkshire with the 10-year-old chestnut gelding Hulahupe, owned by Jessica Crane.

Oliver Fletcher from Faringdon, Oxfordshire with Lady Kirkham’s and Lady Harris’s 10-year-old bay gelding Hello William.

William Fletcher from Faringdon, Oxfordshire with John Walton’s and his own 11-year-old bay mare Ginadina PP, or the 11-year-old bay gelding Valento, owned by Graham Fletcher.

The Nations Cup competition takes place on Friday 17th June at 11:00 hrs local time and the Grand Prix will be on Sunday 19th June at 13:30 hrs local time. The Chef d’Equipe for the British team will be Tony Newbery.

About the EEF
The EEF series, launched by European Equestrian Federation, is designed to support European nations in developing their horses and riders in high-level competition to help bridge the gap to the Division 1 series. The series encourages the participation of younger developing talents by requiring at least one member of the team to be under 25 years of age. More information on the series can be found here.
