The 2011 British Showjumping Awards Ball plays host to many top awards one being the British Showjumping Coach of the Year. This year Alan Fazakerley, Mia Korenika and Mandy McGlynn have all been nominated for the award.
Alan Fazakerley
Alan has had an outstanding year as coach to the British Pony team bringing home Team Gold and both an Individual Gold and Bronze at the Pony European Championships. Alan has coached the Pony Team for the past nine years securing numerous medal wins in addition to coaching a number of groups and individuals. He has a great attitude to work instilling self-belief and high levels of confidence to all of his pupils.
Mia Korenika
Mia is an energetic and focused coach who has contributed to the development and success of two Junior Academies. Mia has been instrumental in encouraging younger riders to develop their personal skills through the NAF Five Star Performance Awards, coaching the youngest rider so far to achieve their Five Star Award. Mia has undoubted talent for nurturing and developing riders of all ability to fulfil their potential.
Mandy McGlynn
Mandy has made a strong and effective contribution to the British Showjumping Central region Junior Academy and the BEF Regional Foundation Squad. The impact of Mandy’s coaching has resulted in great success at this year’s inter-academy competition with five team and eight individual winners. Mandy’s commitment and drive to coaching within the Academy is untiring and relentless.
The Awards Ball will take place on Friday 28th October and you are always assured a fun evening where after a four course meal and the awards ceremony you can party until the early hours. Hosted at the Hilton Metropole, NEC, Birmingham in the fabulous Monarch Suite it is always a night not to be missed
