British Showjumping welcomes First Show for New Venue in South Wales.
Saturday 06 April 2013
Next Sunday, 14th April, will see the first Show at Beacons Equestrian, a brand new all-weather venue at Ammanford. Boasting a 80m x 30m main arena with a Martin Collins surface, together with a 40m x 20m second Arena, Beacons looks set to become a regular on the Shows circuit.
Regional Development Officer Chris Shaw said “the first Affiliated Show at Beacons represents a very important milestone in the development of the sport in South Wales and will be a very welcome addition for competitors in the region”. “I would like to thank Tim, Penny, Oliver, Will and Victoria Jenner for their willingness to work with us and for all their hard work in getting to this point”.
The facilities have been developed by the family, who have the objective of becoming a major competition and training centre. Throughout this year, British Showjumping Shows will be run in conjunction with hardworking Area Committee Members, led by Area Representative Heather Jenkins, who said “we are so pleased to be able to work with everyone at Beacons, and to provide a real focus in the Area, at a venue where we know we will be able to run Shows in pretty well all conditions”.
A full programme of Shows will follow through the year, which are bound to be of great value to Members in South Wales and beyond. Wtch for further news as British Showjumping Club Shows and Coaching sessions are also planned.
