North Cumbria British Show jumping Team qualify for the National Team Show Jumping Final

North Cumbria sent a team of 4 Members to the British Showjumping Northern qualifying show at Port Royal EC near Hull last weekend.  The team of Jilly Francis on Medicinal Purpose, Richard Nichol on Rhodannites Rowenberry, Gail Smith on Wenge and Jon Fletcher on Vote Z competed against Area Teams from across the North of England.  After two rounds of show jumping for each competitor, three teams held joint lead position, each with only 4 faults.  These teams then nominated one Member to jump-off and for North Cumbria, Jon produced his third clear round of the competition to leave the delighted North Cumbria team in a qualifying place.    

 

This team will now compete against other qualifiers from across the UK at “The Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival 2014” in Staffordshire at the end of August.
