Ellen Whitaker takes top three placing in Vilamoura

Ellen Whitaker from Barnsley, North Yorkshire bagged herself a place in the top three in the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour CSI3* Grand Prix when she piloted Jack Van’T Kattenheye, a 10 year-old Belgian-bred Gelding owned by Amy Mason into third place.
Thirty-Nine combinations came forward to tackle the 1.50m track with only five progressing to the jump-off. Italian rider Roberto Turchetto and Baron took the top spot when they were the only combination to jump a double clear and did so in a time of 42.96 seconds, fellow Italian Piergiorgio Bucci and Cochello took second with the fastest four-faults in 37.99 seconds with Ellen close behind finishing on the same penalties in a time of 39.51 seconds.
