KBIS British Equestrian Insurance announce continued sponsorship of British Showjumping’s National Club Championships

British Showjumping is delighted to announce that KBIS will continue sponsoring the National Club Championships for 2024, which will take place this year on 12 – 14 August at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC) in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.

KBIS has been a crucial supporter of British Showjumping for several years, sponsoring various classes during this time. In 2023, they took on the title sponsorship of the National Club Championships, and due to the success of their partnership in the first year, they have decided to extend their sponsorship for a further 3 years.

The National Club Championships at Stoneleigh NAEC is the pinnacle of the year for all British Showjumping Club Members. British Showjumping continuously strives to increase participation in the sport, and the introduction of Club Membership in 2011 was designed to do just this. Designed for riders wanting to compete in showjumping, but not quite ready to step into affiliated competition, the National Club Championships provides riders with the chance to experience that big competition atmosphere, vital for opening-up involvement in competitive showjumping.

To qualify for the KBIS National Club Championships, riders compete regionally and accumulate league points in local club competitions. The heights of these competitions range from 60cm to 1m. The championships prioritise the partnership between horse and rider, with no age restrictions on riders competing on ponies. Club membership appeals not only to those transitioning to affiliated competition but also to producers of young horses and individuals involved in other disciplines such as eventing, pentathlon, and working hunters.

Jess Bowling, British Showjumping's Commercial Manager, expressed delight at KBIS's decision to continue sponsoring the National Club Championships for the next three years. “The Club Leagues aim to provide a platform for riders, who may not be ready for affiliated competition, to gain experience on the circuit. KBIS has played a crucial role in expanding access to showjumping for as many riders as possible, and British Showjumping looks forward to building on the successful partnership with them over the coming years.”

Lawrence Gill, KBIS Executive Director, added “At KBIS, we take great pride in supporting the equestrian industry and riders at every level. As a company made up of fellow horse owners, we understand the dedication that goes into qualifying for the KBIS National Club Championships and look forward to celebrating with many riders, horses and ponies over the coming years." He continued, “We are thrilled to be committed to sponsoring the KBIS National Club Championships for a further three years and continuing our partnership with British Showjumping.”
