Grace Debney jumped Boheme De La Roque into third in the $32,000 Florida Coast Equipment 3* 1.45m at Wellington International.
A total of 63 competitors tackled this two-phase class with Grace and the Kannan x Quick Star 13-year-old Boheme finishing 0.64 seconds behind the winner, Ireland’s Simon McCarthy on Gotcha
John Whitaker is in the money in France
John Whitaker guided Arqana De Riverland into second in an early 3* 1.50m in Nancy, France.
Fourteen of the original field of 74 jumped initial clears to qualify for the jump-off with John and the Cornet Obolensky x Diamant De Semilly 14-year-old easing into the runner-up spot 1.66 seconds behind the winner. The pair were in contention for the feature 3* 1.55m Grand Prix but four faults in the 15-strong jump-off dropped them down the order to seventh.
Tabitha Kyle just missed out on a podium place in day one’s 1.45m speed and picked up fourth with Desterly two seconds off the pace.
Harry Charles misses out on a Grand Prix win at Sentower Park
Harry Charles was a little more than half a second off a Grand Prix win at Sentower Park in Opglabbeek, Belgium, with Bandit.
Ten of the original line-up of 59 posted initial clears over the 2* Grand Prix over a 13-fence 1.45m track with Harry providing another clean round on Stall Jet’s nine-year-old stallion to slip into second 0.61 seconds behind the winner, Ireland’s Emily Turkington aboard Cornet. Jodie Hall-McAteer also returned a double clear for fifth on Crack 41.
Harry picked up fourth in Saturday’s 1.45m speed on the nine-year-old Chawton 2.34 seconds behind the pace and Jodie also finished just off the podium in fourth in day one’s 1.45m speed riding Chica VH Ven Z.
Alex Barr claims a win at Oliva Nova’s Spring MET IV
Alex Barr recorded victory in Sunday’s Gold 1.45m on Preben Van De Doornakkers in the final week of the Spring Mediterranean Equestrian Tour IV in Oliva Nova, Spain.
Thirty-seven competitors contended this two-phase class with Alex providing an unbeatable time on the For Pleasure x Nabab De Reve nine-year-old stallion to win by 0.26 seconds.
Louise Simpson landed the Six-year-old Final with the promising BP Bouladuff over a 1.30m track. Eleven of the original field of 23 returned for the jump-off, Louise and the Aganix Du Seigneur x Cavalier Royale gelding winning by 0.38 seconds.
