Young Riders Championship of Great Britain to be discontinued at Horse of the Year Show

Thursday 22 January 2015

It is with great disappointment that Horse of the Year Show announces the Young Riders Championship of Great Britain will cease to be included in the Horse of the Year Show program.

The Championship has consistently struggled to gain support, this has in turn affected entry numbers, with Horse of the Year Show often being unable to provide a full rider catalogue.

Replacing the Young Riders Championship of Great Britain at Horse of the Year Show will be an additional International Showjumping class. The prize fund from the Young Riders Championship of Great Britain is to be distributed across the existing National classes at Horse of the Year Show to increase the prize money already on offer.
