Nicola Foad Jumps to Victory in the Dodson & Horrell 0.95m National Amateur Second Round at Badgworth Arena

Taking on a talented field of competitors at Badgworth Arena in Ayrbridge, Somerset, Nicola Foad emerged as the clear winner in the Dodson & Horrell 0.95m National Amateur Second Round.
With twelve highly sought after qualification places on offer for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, which will be held at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool between the 16th – 20th November, all eighteen starters began with class with grit and determination and thirteen were able to move through to the jump off.
Riding her own 16 year-old black gelding Potsdam Junior, Nicola, who is from Bridgwater, Somerset, lead the way from the very start as she made short work of the jump off course to cross the finish line in first place with a double clear in 35.08 seconds.
Second place went to Amber Owen who made the journey from Chippenham, Wiltshire with her 12 year-old grey gelding, Tullykyne Boy. This partnership produced a consistent and clear performance to come home in 36.99 seconds.
Kevin Peates from Lydney, Gloucestershire scooped up third place with Nicola Peates’ 15 year-old bay gelding, Uniek IV. This pair posted a double clear in 37.85 seconds.
