This second round attracted twenty-five starters and fifteen combinations produced a first round clear to continue through to the jump off. Thirteen combinations then went on to secure a double clear and with just the twelve qualification spots available it meant that the clock was to become crucial in deciding the final line-up and the allocation of the qualification places.

Katie Blandford, aged 36, from Ledbury, Herefordshire took the victory on board her own 17 year-old grey mare Moonlight Molly. Drawn midway through the field for the jump off, Katie had seen four double clears produced before her. Knowing that a quick double clear would put them into a strong position, Katie steered Moonlight Molly round the jump off course quickly and accurately to deliver a double clear in just 32.49 seconds, giving them over 3 seconds in hand over her nearest rival.

Second place went to 29 year-old Victoria Knight from Minsterworth, Gloucestershire partnering Harlequin Lad an 11 year-old liver chestnut gelding owned by Angela Love. The last combination to go in the jump off, they produced their double clear in 36.66 seconds.

Falon Harper, 24, from Stourpot-On-Severn, Worcestershire took third place with her own 7 year-old bay mare Summer Solstice IV. This combination stopped the clock in 38.02 seconds to secure not only their place in the top three, but also a place in the Championship Final.

An additional nine combinations also went on to achieve their qualification for the Dodson & Horrell 0.85cm National Amateur Championship Final.
