Claire Shepherd Wins the Silver League Qualifier at Aintree International Equestrian Centre

Claire Shepherd from Middleton, Manchester commandingly headed the Silver League qualifier at Aintree Equestrian Centre on-board her own grey mare, Jordanta.

The thirty-two starters were reduced to just fourteen for the jump-off, and Claire secured the win with an early draw, holding off all challenges on the seven-year-old Jordanta by 1.71 seconds.

Jeanette Powell from Chorley, Lancashire took second place with Wippert, an Odermus R 13-year-old gelding she has competed since 2007.  

Allan Birch (Junior) from Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire took the third qualifying place, taking them forward to the Silver League semi-final in August, on Amy Morton’s Ziezo V, a 12-year-old mare with impressive Lupicor x Burggraaf bloodlines.
