National Pony Leagues

In line with the League structure for horses, all Pony riders will be able to enjoy watching their progress on a regional or national leagues.

Leagues have always been in force for Club Members competing ponies at a regional level and we trust that our younger national members will also relish the opportunity of appearing on at least one of the new leagues that have now become available.

The new Pony National Leagues will run from the 1st April– 30th September with the next running from the 1st October – 31st March.  In addition to the Bronze regional leagues there will be a national Silver and Gold League.  The Gold League is split into the three height categories of 128cm, 138cm and 148cm.

Points will be allocated as per the attached table which clearly identifies each pony class and which league it sits within.  Based on pony/rider combination it means that a pony may well sit within more than one league based on which rider is has had results with in addition to appearing in an individual league more than once.

The league that the pony and rider appear in will be dictated on their last results. So should points be gained in a Silver League class, the combination will move from the Bronze League into Silver for the remainder of the league period.  At the start of the new league period on the 1st October and every six months thereafter all pony/rider combinations will start again at zero enabling them to move back down should they prefer.
