Amber Owen clinches the win in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Parwood Equestrian Centre
Tuesday 28 May 2019

Chippenham based Amber Owen claimed the win in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Parwood Equestrian Centre in Surrey on Saturday with Alison Davies’ Could Be Gold.
Forty-eight hopeful starters came forward to take on course designer Glen Mac Robert Smith’s eleven fence track but only half made it through to the final round. Nine of those gained the all-important treble clear to secure their qualifying ticket into the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held during the British Showjumping National Championships in August.
Amber steered Could be Gold, a 7 year-old Irish bred mare whom she has been competing for two years, around the track in 42.91 seconds, 0.08 seconds quicker than second placed Charlotte Forman and the 5 year-old Irish bred Metro Cruise who crossed the line in 42.99 seconds. Nicholas Edwards and Claire Edwards’ Rubi Masquerade, a 7 year-old British bred mare, finished close behind in third place in 43.14 seconds.
